I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, City of Los Angeles, California.  I am a third generation
Californian and a second generation Civil Engineer-Land Surveyor.

I am married and have three children - a 30-year-old daughter and two sons, 28 years old, and 13 years.

I graduated in 1980 from C.S.U.N., School of Engineering, with a B.S. in Engineering with a Civil Engineering
concentration. I then returned to CSUN and graduated with a 4 year Masters in Business Administration
(MBA) degree in 2007.

I am professionally licensed in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying in both the states of California and Arizona and am also a California Certified Storm Water Professional. I have been employed in the fields of Civil Engineering, specializing in Land Development since 1977, at that time - earning my way through college.

I currently run my own Consulting Practice specializing in Expert Witness Litigation and Mediation, Permitting, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, Storm Water. I am on contract as a Consultant to the State of California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists (BPELSG) as a Technical Expert.

I have endeavored to remain technologically active and have continued to improve my education at every opportunity. Over the last several years, I returned to school to secure a Graduate degree in Business Management and have studied for a passed by Board Exam as a Storm Water Professional.

Outside of family and work, I enjoy community service; outdoor sports (sailing my own boat, hiking, backpacking, camping) and traveling. I am active in my son’s Boy Scouts Troop as an Assistant Scout Master leading the Scouts in Backpacking and Camping trips.

I consider my specialty to be working with people in Land Use affairs. I enjoy “humanizing” the importance for people to make use of shared resources. I have become adept at researching laws, codes, and policies to further the goals of my Clients. Through my experiences as both a Consultant (private side) and a Public Servant (Acting City Engineer-City Surveyor and as a Caltrans employee), I have insight as to the needs and concerns of “both sides of the counter.” Through those experiences, I have become successful at and enjoy what I do.

My goal is to find long-term Client commitments that allow me to help others excel at what they do.
